ALCS Game One

Some quick thoughts about last night's Game One of the ALCS. So glad to see the Yanks start things off right, that was a huge win. CC was lights out, they capitalized on errors, and really set the tone for things to come.

Again I'll be awarding faces of credit to players in the game, went with a familiar face to both teams. I almost chose Randy Velarde or Luis Sojo, but this just seemed better.

Captain at the top of the order getting things taken care of.

Mariano Rivera

A walk away from vintage playoff Mo. Great none the less

John Lackey

Really pitched better than the loss he got out of it. Did give up a lot of hits and didn't do his job to give the Angels a lead in the series. Also a big error that hurt the team

Erik Aybar/Chone Figgins

Combined 0 for 7, and obvious miscommunication costing the team a big run.

Torii Hunter

Really showed off those gold glove skills in center.
