ALDS, Game 3

Last night's game was a great way to end the series. Great to see the Yankees' bats come up big just enough to get the win. Pettitte pitched lights out, but so did Pavano. It was a really good series all around, I thought the Twins put up a fight the whole way around.

Not enough credit can be give to Derek Jeter for his heads up play getting Punto with Posada. Once again he does a great job in the post season.

Thoughts to come soon about the ALCS.

Yankees

Alex Rodriguez

Once again coming up huge. Hopefully he saved some hits for the ALCS
Andy Pettitte

Vintage Playoff Pettitte. Showed he can still come up huge when they needed him.
Jorge Posada

Big homer, big play at third, couple more big hits. Gets the start and delivers.
Mariano Rivera

Great job out of the pen once again, especially getting Mauer. However, he did give up to a double to a guy who had just been hit in the balls.
Twins
Joe Mauer

Came up big at the plate again with the opposite field hit, did all he could all series

Carl Pavano

Pitched the game of his life, just wasn't quite good enough.

Nick Punto

Great offense all series, came up big with a double....but it went to waste with that stellar base running.

Twins Bullpen

Straight to Joe Nathan, very poor performance. Really failed the team
